Crossroads Club
Crossroads Club is designed for young adults from aged 19 - 26+ who have special needs (on the autism spectrum or other mental, physical, or emotional challenges). Crossroads Club tries to meet monthly during the school year to offer young adults hands-on activities and fellowship opportunities. Crossroads Presbyterian Church has offered this program since Fall 2017 with assistance nationally from the Presbyterian Church USA and locally by the Presbytery of Detroit with the Faith In Action and the Ranney Balch Grants..

Operation Christmas ChildIn November 2024, Crossroads Club and the Congregation packed forty six shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children overseas. The shoebox could be designated for a boy or a girl, age 2-4, 5-8, or 9-14.
Samaritan’s Purse says, “the mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.” Crossroads Presbyterian Church has donated these fun-filled shoeboxes for fifteen years; the Crossroads Club has contributed to this mission since 2018. |
Fleece and Thank YouThe Fleece and Thank You mission has been supported by the women of Crossroads Presbyterian Church. In October 2024, the women made fifteen blankets.
Blanket kits are purchased from the Fleece and Thank You, a Farmington Hills-based nonprofit. The goal is to provide every child facing hospital treatments with a colorful, comfortable fleece blanket and a video message of support. |
