Welcome

Greetings!
Welcome to the web page for our Community Garden. This is the second year for this ministry. We had a great start last year raising over 1300 lbs of produce for our local food bank--Hospitality House. This year we would like to double that amount maybe even triple it. With your help we can do it. There are two ways that you can participate in this project.

Grow Your Own

First you can sign up to plant your own garden in one or more garden plots. The plots are in 10x10 ft sections. You may use as many as you would like. We are asking for a $15 donation for each 10x10 plot. Please read the Garden Guidelines that are posted above. We will provide the land and water; you provide the seeds, fertilizer and strong back for digging and hoeing.

You do not need to know anything about the garden. We have a Master Gardener in residence who will guide you through the process. Our pastor and his wife also know a few things about growing vegetables. He enjoys helping others learn the joy of gardening.

Plant for Others

Another way that you can join the fun is to work in the Community Sections of the garden. Under the direction of the pastor and the Garden Ministry Team, we will be planting a whole assortment of fruit and vegetables from cabbage to zucchini. Hopefully we have a better year for tomatoes than 2009. We will lay out a To Be Done List for each day so you can come in anytime and toil in the soil.
